The why behind obvious can be annoying. When someone is telling you something that seems obvious to your thoughts, the words you use to understand what was said, the neurons linked to those words many or few include... why do they think you don't know it.

Stating the obvious on purpose or inferred fires off probably the same neurons from a different perspective that makes no difference to the words of your thoughts or your statement.

Eliminate that why by confirming the acknowledgment of the statement and both in the conversation will stay less confrontational, defensive, or annoyed.

Example: 2 + 2 = 4
